Thamizhe Yen Thaaye
This song was created for Penang’s 2014 International Tamil Conference. This song was officially published during the event by Prof. Dr. Ramasamy, Deputy Chief Minister of Penang.
Ore Malaysia
‘Ore Malaysia’ is the result of a collaboration between an Indian presenter, MK, and a number of other musicians. Though originally composed by Jerry Retnam, MK came forward to Jay and requested him to recompose the whole song; whilst preserving its original melody; thus resulting in a replayed version with new arrangements featuring real musical instruments integrating work of ten different musicians from various races in Malaysia. This song won the award in the ‘Key Unity’ category at the 2010 Annual VIMA Awards.
Oli Peruvom
‘Oli Peruvom’ was the outcome of collaborations between 60 local artists which included musicians, singers, actors and actresses, TV hosts, DJs, sports celebrities, journalists, community leaders as well as children from local Tamil schools under the partnership of Digi Telemarketing.
The song was offered to all DiGi users for a monthly price of RM1 per song, with all proceeds going to the Education, Welfare, and Research Foundation (EWRF), a national philanthropic organisation dedicated to helping the Indian population. On October 4th 2011, this song was listed in the ‘Malaysia Book Of Records’ for having the ‘Most Number Of Singers In A Song.’
Ketti Melam Kalyanam
The song ‘Kettimelam Kalayanam’ was made for an interesting aspect of the festival of Kettimelam Kalyanam (Traditional Hindu Wedding Ceremony), an event organised by THR Raaga in collaboration with DP Gaana Network. The contest gave away a full wedding package to three couples, whose expenses were arranged and managed by the station. The event features the three couples tying the knot in a grand ceremony themed Exclusive, Elegance and Extravaganza at the National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on 11th September 2014.
Yen Thesame
For Melaka’s Deepavali Open House 2013 organised by MIC Melaka and Ritzy Media, Jay composed the song ‘YEN THESAMAE.’ The Governor of Melaka at that particular time, Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Mohd Khalil Bin Yaakob, and MIC Melaka Leader, Dato’ M.S Mahadevan, gave their voices to this song; becoming the first song sung by a Governor in Malaysian political history.
ASTRO Vaanavil International Superstar 2015
Jay’s reprised version of A.R. Rahman’s popular number ‘Nenje Ezhu’ was performed by famous Malaysian songstress, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza for ASTRO’s first-ever international Indian singing competition, ‘International Superstar 2015,’ which featured contestants from five countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, Canada, and India. Datuk Siti performed the song in Tamil alongside fellow local musicians such as Viveck Jay, Gowri, Fuying & Sam, Gold Kartz, and Andrea Jeremiah, an Indian playback vocalist. Datuk Siti’s thoughts on working with Jay are as follows:
“Jay helped me a lot to make sure I grasped the meaning behind the lyrics so that I will be able to perform the song convincingly with the right feel. And I am glad that he is satisfied with my progress.”

Operasi X
Jay has also composed for a few Malay films. ‘Operrasi X,’ an action-packed film directed by Sandosh Kesavan, was his first Malay film starring Awie, Aaron Aziz, Yusof Haslam, and other well-known Malay actors. Jay garnered high remarks for his background scores in this film, which was released in local theatres on November 1st, 2018.
Felina
Jay also worked with the same director in a Malay film called ‘Felina,’ which starred Raja Ilya, Shafiq Jamil, and Nur Qistina Raisah. Jay was once again recognised for his background soundtracks in this horror flick.
KOLLYWOOD
Azhagumagan
Jay was named as the Vocal Coach for ASTRO’s Vaanavil Superstar candidates in 2012, while Music Director James Vasathan served as the Chief Judge. James Vasanthan Sir was so impressed with Jay’s musical expertise and vocal capabilities that he invited him to sing in one of his compositions back in India. Jay made his Indian playback singing debut with the song ‘Yenna Yenna Idhu’ from the film ‘Azhagumagan’, a 2018 Indian Tamil rural action drama film written and directed by Azhagan Selva.
